MISSION STATEMENT

Here at the Mission Hill Middle School Library we are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, empathetic, and innovative learning space where students, regardless of ability, are inspired to explore, question, learn, contribute, and share. Our mission is to provide a place of safety and refuge, to ignite a lifelong passion for reading and learning, to encourage a healthy media literacy life balance through materials and resources that support and enhance teacher curriculum, and provide access to a collection that honors diverse voices and individual identities and interests. By collaborating closely with students, educators, and community partners, we integrate dynamic programming to encourage creativity, collaboration, and communication, preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

We are open Monday through Friday before school, during class periods & READ period with a hall pass, at lunch, and after school.

LUNCHES in the library. After students eat lunch in the designated areas outside on the blacktop they may visit the library for the remainder of lunch.  Lunches in the library allow students to play games with friends, read, create, and socialize with others in a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment.
